Rivendell CL Pricing

Our current charges are £21 per night for a caravan or motorhome with a maximum of two people from March to September.

From October to February we charge a winter rate which is £22 per night.

Summer and winter rates include a 16 amp electrical hook up (subject to reasonable use), access to fresh water and waste disposal facilities.

Extra guests are charged at £3 per person per night.

We do not offer a shower or toilet block on site so all facilities must be in your caravan or motorhome.

If you wish to book a pitch without electricity, please contact us and we can reduce the price accordingly.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Rivendell CL, we hope you enjoy your stay. Please find below the terms and conditions which apply to our site. We abbreviate Certificated Location to ‘CL’. We use the word ‘outfit’ as a generic term to describe a motorhome or a caravan towed by a car.

Dogs

We allow dogs on site as long as they are kept on a lead and all mess is picked up and disposed of.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival is permitted from 12.30pm and please make sure you vacate your pitch by 11.30am. Upon arrival if you have booked, please pitch up on your designated pitch and we will come and say hello once you are settled in. Please call us if you need any assistance when pitching up on 07966 807927.

Our operating certificate is issued by the Caravan and Motorhome Club under Paragraph 5 of the First Schedule of The Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act, 1960.

Our CL operates by the following Caravan and Motorhome Club rules:

  • Only members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club on producing their membership cards may be accommodated on the CL, for the purposes of recreation.
  • Not more than 5 caravans, motor caravans or trailer tents may be stationed on the CL at any time.
  • No caravan or motor caravan shall be allowed to stay for more than 28 consecutive days.
  • No tent camping to be allowed on site (only a small single-berth pup tent ancillary to the main outfit can be accepted).

You are required to give us your Caravan and Motorhome Club membership number when booking and we will check your current membership status with the Club before confirming your booking.  If you cease to be a member of the Club, you will not be allowed to stay here and any payment you have made will be forfeited unless we have enough time to re-let the pitch that you have booked.

Specials Needs or Disabilities

We will do our best to accommodate special needs or disabilities. Please explain any needs at the time of booking in case we need to make special arrangements.

Loss and Damage

We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage, to your property or vehicles or any injury to you or your visitors whilst staying on our CL.

Electric Supply and Electric Car Charging

We have 16 amp hook-ups and charge a flat-rate pitch fee inclusive of ‘reasonable use’ of electricity inside caravans or motorhomes.  We do not permit using electricity to heat awnings or use equipment outside the caravan or motorhome as we believe this is not ‘reasonable use’. For economy and fire safety, please ensure heaters are switched off unless you are on site.

We cannot allow charging of electric cars in the pitch fee. If you do wish to charge your electric car, please inform us and we can charge you for your usage of our electricity to charge your car.

Cancellation Policy

If we have to cancel your booking prior to your arrival we will refund in full any payments you have already made or issue you with a credit towards a future booking.

Coronavirus (or any other pandemic): We will be unable to offer refunds for any deposits paid if we go into another lockdown and we are once again forced to close our CL.  However, we will be able to move your booking with the deposit or offer a credit note towards your next booking with us if you’re undecided on alternative dates. 

If you have to cancel your booking please let us know as early as possible.  Your booking is only cancelled once you have received a confirmation of cancellation email from us.  If you email/leave a voice mail to cancel and do not receive a confirmation of cancellation email from us within 48 hours please contact us again as we have not received your message and you may still be liable for payment.

By making a booking and paying your deposit you signify your agreement with our refund policy which is below: 

Booking cancelled more than 12 weeks and one day before arrival: – refund of deposit by bank transfer less a £2 administration fee.  Alternatively, we are happy to roll your deposit forward* to another booking within 12 months of your cancellation day and subject to availability.

Booking cancelled 15 days to 12 weeks before arrival: – no refund of deposit but we will roll your deposit forward* to another booking within 12 months of your cancellation day and subject to availability.

Booking cancelled 14 days or less before arrival: – no refund of deposit.

In the event of a booking reduction, due to late arrival or early departure, no refund for nights cancelled/not used will be given.

*Any deposits ‘rolled forward’ will no longer be subject to our cancellation policy and if cancelled a second time the deposit will be forfeit regardless of the notice given.

Events such as vehicle breakdown, illness or inclement weather etc which may result in delayed arrival, curtailment or cancellation of your stay are not the responsibility of Rivendell CL and therefore we advise you to seek appropriate travel insurance.
