WALKS FROM RIVENDELL

Templeton Airfield: 1.5 miles away, but walkable from the site – turn left out of the entrance and keep going until you get to the t-junction. There is a bridle gate opposite the t-junction for access to the disused airfield.

Loveston Woods: Walkable from the site. Turn right out of the entrance, walk past the red phone box and the bottom of the village and just after that is a footpath sign on the right hand side, this will lead you into the woods.

Miners Walk: Walkable from the site. Turn right out of the entrance, opposite the phone box and the bottom of the village is a lane, go down this lane, cross the road, go down the next lane, pass the old cottage after the stream then on your right you will find the miners walk which is on an old tramway.

Canaston Woods/Blackpool Mill: 4 miles away and a 10 minute drive. Plenty of good walks with or without dogs

Just 10 minutes from Rivendell, you’ll find the bustling towns of Kilgetty and Narberth. They offer everything you could want during your stay, from quality coffee shops to groceries and takeaways.

NARBERTH

Narberth is 4.4 miles away from Rivendell and a short 10 minute drive. A lovely market town, it has lots of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a CK supermarket, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a fish and chip shop, two independent butchers, a petrol station, tire garage, pharmacy and lots more.

KILGETTY

Kilgetty is 5.2 miles away from the site and takes just 10 minutes to get there. It offers a Co-op supermarket, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a fish and chip shop, an independent butchers, petrol station, chemist, motor factors and two pubs.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

  • Templeton bus stop: 2.2 miles away and a 5 minute drive
  • Kilgetty bus stop: 5.2 miles away and a 10 minute drive
  • Kilgetty train station: 5.2 miles away and a 10 minute drive
  • Narberth train station: 5.4 miles and a 14 minute drive

ESSENTIAL SERVICES

Health Centre: Narberth and Kilgetty are the closest towns with a health centre and pharmacy.

Post Office: A post office van calls to the village every Wednesday from 11.30am to 12.30pm, and can be found next to the post box in the centre of the village. Narberth and Kilgetty are the closest towns with post offices.
